Tour Itinerary

We will beging the day by driving you to Kbalchhay Waterfall at Sihanoukville is situated on the PrekTuk Sap River located about 40 minutes away from Sihanoukville. To reach the site from Sihanoukville, take National Road 4 toward Phnom Penh. About 7 kilometers out side of town, there is a sign announcing the site (at mile marker 217). Turn left and go 9 kilometers along trail. The water at KbalChhay comes from many sources along the mountain range, although only three of these sources visible. The Waterfall, which is 14 meters high, is at the point where those three sources joint. The KbalChhay Waterfalls is actually a collection of 3 meters to 5 meters high waterfalls This tourist attraction with its amazing natural beauty is not to be missed, when you stay in Sihanoukville.

The history of KbalChhay waterfall was found in 1960. until 1963 KbalChhay arranged as the clean water sources for providing to Sihanouk Ville, but the arrengement was failed become a hidden place for Khmer Rouge. In 1997, KbalChhay was changed to the developing zone. In 1998 KbalChhay was for bid by KoKan Company on constructing road and changing this site as tourist resort for local and international tourists. Nowadays, the Royal Goverment of Cambodia has changed this site as the clean water sources for providing clean water to Sihanoukville.

However, only three water sources are visible of the KbalChhay Waterfalls, the site is very popular. Besides being just a picturesque sight, the location of the KbalChhay Waterfalls in Sihanoukville is also a popular picnic spot where you can spend your day amongst the greenery and serene natural ambience of KbalChhay Waterfalls in Sihanoukville. The area also offers abundance of food and drink stand that drink stands for refreshments if you need any. Try going on a weekday if you want a quiet visit.

Kids (0-4 yrs) are free of charge, Children (5 – 11 yrs) 50% charge of the adult (12 yrs+) and need to be accompanied by at least one adult.

Dressing Code

Cambodia geographically stays in the tropical monsoon, its weather varies and annually brings wet and dry seasons, generally hot in during day time and a bit cooler at night, and in the early morning. You should wear whatever most comfortable but remember to dress appropriately to respect the locals and other religious sites; pagodas, temples and holy places. Clothes must cover your shoulders and knees when you wish to visit the top part at Angkor Wat, Royal Palace in Phnom Penh and when you go to meet Buddhist monks.
